O say can you see,
by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed
at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars

the bombs bursting in air,

ほら、貴方にも見えるだろうか？ 夜の闇に別れを告げる朝日に照らされて 夕べ日没間近の薄明かり歓声の中で 手にした我らの誇り高き功績を 幅広のストライプと共に輝く星々は その死線を越える戦いの最中 我々が守る城壁の上で勇ましく己を誇示し続け そしてロケット弾の赤い閃光と空気を 震わせる炸裂した爆弾までもが 我らの旗がここに健在であるということを 一晩中見せつけていた その輝く星々を讃え旗は今もたなびく ここは自由の大地の上、勇者たちの祖国 であると示すように |
